Come celebrate the Fall Season with the Greenwood Parks and Recreations Department. This annual event held in Bell Park features Arts and Crafts Vendors, lots of food, entertainment, inflatables, hay rides, carnival games, and face painting & more!

Greenwood Freedom Fest

Freedom Fest is an all American festival celebrating America's Independence Day

This festival is sponsored by  your Parks and Recreation Dept. and Greenwood A&P Commission!!

Annually on July 4th

Start the day with the Freedom Fest 5K Run with divisions for all ages.  Applications for this race can be acquired at the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce office or at www.greenwoodarkansas.com.

Late in the afternoon of Independence Day the Town Square comes alive with music from local and regional artists as well as several well-known musicians.  There will be free games and inflatables (some with water) for the kids!  Stop in and Shop with local vencors and satisfy your appetite with food from some of the area's best FOOD Trucks!  Come out and sit in the shade of Big Top Tents and celebrate our Nation's birthday together!

Trick or Treet ~ Halloween Trail

5:30pm to 8pm

The City of Greenwood, Greenwood High School, along with some area businesses and organizations will be giving back to the community by passing out candy on the “Halloween Trail”!

Trail Shuttle Begins at Greenwood Street Department to the Senior Center Parking area on Old Hackett Rd.


Any business, church or organization which would like to have a booth/station on the Trail should contact JoElla Skaggs at Greenwood High School 479-996-4141 or Greenwood City Hall 479-996-2742

Any business, church or organization that would like to "DONATE CANDY" wrapped/labeled candy may do so by also contacting the High School Office or Greenwood City Hall.

By providing this safe Halloween Trail, Greenwood High School is saying thanks to the community for their support of all their academic and athletic activities throughout the school year!
